Start with your route in Google Maps, then select the states you expect to travel through. The US Detour shows places in those states so you can check each one against your actual route.
Driving-time limitation: This website does not have a routing API or verified coordinates for all 1,100 stops. It cannot truthfully promise that a suggestion adds 15, 30 or 60 minutes to your trip. Google Maps is used to verify each proposed deviation, including island and ferry access.
